Ku I Ka Pono March and Rally
Justice for Hawaiians

A recent Federal court ruling threatens the unique educational and cultural opportunity offered to Native Hawaiian children at Kamehameha Schools, founded by the will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop. Since the 1893 overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom by agents and citizens of the United States, Native Hawaiians have longed for justice. Their culture, assets and traditions have since that time been under attack.
Join the alumni of Kamehameha Schools, thousands of Hawaiians and people that love Hawai‘i in a march and rally for justice for Hawaiians, justice for Kamehameha Schools, a stop to the taking of Hawaiian property and for Hawaiian unity to save our culture.
Speakers: Dee Jay Mailer, CEO Kamehameha Schools, Nainoa Thompson, Trustee Kamehameha Schools, and many others who are outraged by the taking of Pauahi’s legacy given to the Hawaiian people for their education, and the threats made by adversaries of the Hawaiian people to take away the few remaining assets of the Hawaiians.
Parking: The U.N. Plaza is on Market St. in San Francisco between 7th and 8th Streets. Take the Civic Center exit for BART or Muni. Parking at Civic Center garage at 355 McAllister between Polk and Larkin, or the Fifth & Mission garage at 833 Mission between 4th and 5th Streets.
