Lihue, HI - Hawaiian Telcom announced $10,000 of donations to two
As part of the company's philanthropic program, Hawaiian Telcom awarded a total of $20,000 to the Hawaiian Way Fund designated for the Kekaha and Anahola groups to support their grass roots service projects. Kekaha is located on the west side of
"We are honored to invest and support community organizations around the state," said Joel Matsunaga, Hawaiian Telcom Vice President – External Affairs. "The Anahola and Kekaha community associations are exactly the kinds of groups that represent a service to others approach and we want to support that at Hawaiian Telcom."
One of the recipients, the Anahola Hawaiian Homes Association will use the Hawaiian Telcom funding to open its outdoor marketplace featuring Hawaiian crafts and lei makers from the Anahola community. Kekaha intends to use the funds for its annual kupuna and youth programming.
