Make a Difference

There are many ways to support CNHA’s work to advance Native communities. Give to the Hawaiian Way Fund and support community organizations, join our extensive member network, or donate time as a volunteer or intern – we hope that you will get involved!

  • Hawaiian Way Fund – The Hawaiian Way Fund is a unique cultural and community development fund that connects everyday individuals to the power of the Hawaiian culture. Its value is evident in the expression of local artisans, in its inspiration of youth finding pathways of strength, and in the influence in all that is Hawaii.
  • Become a Program Partner – CNHA organizes a multitude of programs every month, from cultural events that promote Native Hawaiian ancestry to leadership development programs to mentor and encourage professional development among young adults.   • Become an Intern, Fellow, or Volunteer – CNHA's Next Generation Leadership Program is creates opportunities for young leaders to contribute to the mission of CNHA and to Native Hawaiian communities in a variety of ways. Click to learn more about the Program!
  • Become a Member – Join our efforts in supporting Native Hawaiian community initiatives.

CNHA Members are eligible for the following:

Annual Native Hawaiian Convention: opportunities to present member work and accomplishments; discounts for member staff, board, and volunteers to attend Convention

Hawaiian Way Fund: eligible to apply for direct funding support; eligible to apply to fundraise for member organization

Native Hawaiian Policy Center: participation on policy steering committee and policy calls; receive policy alerts and updates on legislative issues; recommend policy, legislative, and product development priorities

Information and Advocacy: informative reports and articles relevant to Native communities; eligibility to submit member press releases, announcements, and/or openings for distribution; messages from our CEO

Grant Training and Convening Sessions: discounts for member staff, board, and volunteers to attend CNHA grant trainings; access to grantstation.com and grant writers/consultant directory

Leadership Network Program: preference on leadership development opportunities and experiences, such as our annual orientation trip to Washington, D.C. and relationship-building trips

Meeting Space Utilization: CNHA Kakaako Office conference room usage (up to 2 hours a month)*; training facility usage (up to 2 hours a month)*

Board of Directors: eligible for election or appointment; all members welcome to attend meetings
