CNHA is seeking interns that are interested in and committed to Native community economic development. Interns gain knowledge and experience on issues impacting Native communities and work with local Native community based organizations.

We are looking for interns that want to gain experience with communications, capacity building, research and policy support. Interns can assist with a variety of projects under our core programs areas which include:

• Training and Resource Institute - Provide support in coordinating trainings. Develop and disseminate resources for capacity building. Develop informational materials, brochures, press releases, special reports and websites.
• Policy Development & Advocacy - Assist with researching and developing advocacy initiatives. Assist with policy analysis and legislative tracking.
• Events Services - Plan and coordinate informational gatherings including summits, forums, round tables, and conventions on issues related to Native communities.

This is a good opportunity for individuals and students who are seeking experience in  non-profit management, urban planning or public policy, and  community and economic development, housing, native rights, and land access impacting low-income and native communities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical ability, and research experience are desired. Start date are flexible. Stipends may be available. Interns would report to key staff. Please submit the following to be considered for an internship: resume and letter of interest.
