OWEESTA Colorado Briefing
ANA SEEDS Training

In 2014, Oweesta was awarded the ANA SEEDS grant supporting economic development in Native American communities. It is focused on developing employment opportunities and business creation in an effort to reduce unemployment and stimulate local economies. Through this, Oweesta is working with five organizations for the next five years, delivering capacity building assistance, customizable technical assistance to support capacity building activities, and financial and loan management assistance. In turn, they will provide training, technical assistance, and access to capital to entrepreneurs and small business owners in their communities.

Recently, participants from these organizations joined us for four days of training in Blackhawk, Colorado. Participants trained on the latest Indianpreneurship by ONABENThe Business of Indian Agriculture by First Nations Development Institute, and Financial Capacity Building Training by Oweesta.
