CNHA is a Native Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and a HUD-certified housing counseling agency providing grants and loans to address specific needs identified by our communities. CNHA offers loans for energy efficiency improvements, home construction and rehabilitation, and small business. We also provide grants for solar water heaters and matched savings grants to eligible families working towards homeownership. All of our grants and loans are provided in conjunction financial education and technical assistance to ensure our clients have access to the resources necessary to make sound financial decisions. CNHA provides grants and loans focused on long term asset building that supports economically sustainable local communities.

Vacant Lot Owner Builder Program (VLOB)The VLOB Program is an interim construction loan that provides homestead lessees with an option to finance home improvements, repairs or new construction on vacant lots. It’s an ideal product for lessees interested in owner-builder projects.

Hawaii Individual Development Account Program (HIDA)The Hawaii Individual Development Account Program is an individual development account (IDA) program. IDAs are saving products developed and available around the country to provide grants to match the saving achievements of families and individuals for small business goals, down payments on home purchases, transportation needs and other purposes that help families build wealth and assets.
