Hale Manakō

CNHA has opened its first multi-unit affordable housing rental project – Hale Manakō, located at 103 Mango Street, Wahiawā. Through the City & County of Honolulu, CNHA received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded by the CARES Act to benefit low- and moderate- income families by providing housing and a suitable living environment.

Affordable Housing Available 

Stable, affordable housing is critical to the well-being of the ʻohana and CNHA's recently opened Hale Manakō in Wahiawā, Oʻahu offers an opportunity for low to moderate income renters to have an affordable place to live. 

Qualifications

All applicants must be experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness due to COVID-19 or households at heightened risk of COVID-19 impacts due to overcrowding, prior to residency at the project;

 

· Must be able to pay rent, deposit and other required fees;

 

· Applicants’ income must not exceed 60% of the O‘ahu Area Median Income;

 

· Preference to applicants in the Wahiawā area; and

 

· Annual income limits by family size, currently:

1 Person $54,900

2 Persons $62,700

3 Persons $70,560

4 Persons $78,360

5 Persons $84,660

6 Persons $90,900

7 Persons $97,200

CNHA has contracted with Housing Solutions Incorporated (HSI), a non-profit that operates affordable housing projects on O‘ahu, to manage Hale Manakō.
