Maui is working through the aftermath of one of the deadliest wildfires in the country’s recorded history and the worst natural disaster ever to impact this community. The effort to remediate, restore, rebuild, and re-envision a new future will require kōkua from all of us who can contribute.
The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has indicated they intend to award work to Native Hawaiian Organizations (NHOs). If awarded the contracts, all Hoʻōla Maui NHO members will engage in the clean-up effort, bringing their federal experience and professional expertise to expedite the work. As a coalition, Hoʻōla Maui is committed to ensuring the clean-up of the burn zones on Maui is efficient, thorough, and in the best interest of the affected community and its Hawaiian cultural resources.

Data Management Specialist (Engineering Technician II)
As a Data Management Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing, organizing, and validating data received from various crews in support of the site survey of residential, public, and commercial sites in the Lahaina and Kula area of Maui, HI. You will work directly with a team of other Data Management Specialists, Project Managers, QC Managers, Site Assessment Technicians, Supervisors, Asbestos Inspectors, and Arborists to provide a complete picture of each property so debris removal work can be completed safely.

Field Technician (Engineering Technician I)
As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for managing information entered into multiple applications. The Field Technician will work with crews that are removing various materials from each property and will be required to document all material removed. Documentation may include data entry, photographs, geolocation, and other duties as assigned. Field Technicians will accompany crews in the field assessing various items for potential removal and will be required to enter data communicated to them by the crews, photograph and geolocate specific items, and additional tasks as they arise.

Site Laborer (Laborer)
As a field laborer, you will be responsible for supporting project teams with various field activities to ensure follow-on crews can perform their specified scope of work. Field Laborers will accompany crews field assessment and monitor crews to support day-to-day tasks.

Project Administrator (Administrative Assistant)
As a Project Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for the survey of residential, public, and commercial sites in the Lahaina and Kula area of Maui, HI. You will work directly with a team of other Site Assessment Technicians, Supervisors, Asbestos Inspectors, and Arborists to provide a complete picture of each property so debris removal work can be completed safely.

Project Engineer I
As a Project Engineer, your role is essential in driving construction projects to successful completion of site surveys of residential, public, and commercial sites in the Lahaina and Kula area of Maui, HI. With a hands-on approach, you will be actively involved in both fieldwork and office tasks, ensuring project efficiency and adherence to specifications. Your responsibilities include reacting swiftly to issues, providing on-site training, managing front-line workers, innovating solutions, and collaborating with project managers and subcontractors to ensure necessary resources are available to keep the project on schedule. You will also play a crucial role in human resource management, creating schedules, assisting with invoicing, submitting documents to clients, forecasting project resource needs, and conducting quality control over technical team work. Collaboration with other organizational managers is essential to facilitate project success and the smooth execution of technical tasks on-site.

Site Debris Monitor Technician (Environmental Technician)

As a Site Evaluation Technician, you will be responsible for providing a visual site survey of residential, public, and commercial sites in the Lahaina and Kula area of Maui, HI. You will work directly with a team of other Site Assessment Technicians, Supervisors, Asbestos Inspectors, and Arborists to provide a complete picture of each property so debris removal work can be completed safely.

Site Quality Control Specialist
As a Site QC Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating, overseeing, implementing, and documenting the Quality Control Program, in support of the site survey of residential, public, and commercial sites in the Lahaina and Kula area of Maui, HI. You will work directly with a team of other QC Managers, Project Managers, Site Assessment Technicians, Supervisors, Asbestos Inspectors, and Arborists to provide a complete picture of each property so debris removal work can be completed safely.

Site Safety & Health Technician (Quality Control Inspector)
As a Site Safety and Health Technician, you will be responsible for implementing procedures to prevent and eliminate injury and illness to employees and assist the company to comply with safety laws, in support of the site survey of residential, public, and commercial sites in the Lahaina and Kula area of Maui, HI. You will work directly with a team of other Site Safety and Health Officers, Project Managers, Site Assessment Technicians, Supervisors, Asbestos Inspectors, and Arborists to provide a complete picture of each property so debris removal work can be completed safely.
